It's been a long time since I've updated anything. Sorry for that. Life has been pretty busy. I've been sick for about 2 weeks now. My immune system is just not up to par quite yet since I am working with kids all day. Work at the school is intense on all levels. I am really excited for the week break in the middle of Feb, which I will be spending it in Michigan! =) One of my kids is transitioning out of our school which is great, though, I will really miss this kid! It's strange to think that you work with these kids for so many hours each day then once they leave you won't see them again. I am still getting adjusted to that side of social work. I will be getting a new student in the next few weeks so that will be fun.
Coaching at the gym has been great. I love being surrounded by gymnastics. My little level 5 girls had their first meet last weekend in Washington. They did pretty well. Some of them did excellent and some of them did not. Regardless, lots of work to be done. We have another meet next weekend so we are training hard for that. It was weird to be back in the club gymnastics world during the last meet. So many little kids everywhere....and of coarse you gotta love hearing the same floor routine song over and over and over...haha. Good times.
Let's see what else has been happenin' on this end. I was a foster parent for 4 days. The EA in my classroom is a foster parent and she went to Obama's inaguration, so I stayed with her kids for that week. It was fun and interesting at the same time. It actually went really well.
I had the opportunity to go to the coast this past week. You will see all the pictures below. It was an amazing day...blue skies and sunshine! What more could you ask for? I went on a Thursday so no one was there....it was great. So peaceful! I am going to try to go once a month...just a day for me to relax and enjoy the ocean.
Umm...what else...hmmmm....Oh Rob (my roommate) and I got a ping pong table! It's so much fun and entertaining!! We play almost everyday...it's great. =)
Well I think that's about it. I will try to stay more on top of these updates!
