Tattoo!

I have planned on getting a tattoo since Febuary of this year. Well....I finally got it today! I have "1 COR 10:13" on my right wrist now. The verse says...."The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." The tattoo is written in my writing which I love because it means so much to me.

First day of work!

I started work today and I absolutely love it! The kids do not start school until next week so today was just a "get to know everyone" day. The position is new so it's cool because we can make the program however we want to make it to best help to kids. I am working on a team of 6 so it's nice not being the only "new" person. I really enjoyed it and am excited for this opportunity.

NEW JOB!

As most of you know I had a job interview last Friday for a job opportunity that works with elementary age children who have emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. Well this morning I received a call and was offered the job!!! =) I start next Monday, August 25th. I am so very excited and thankful for what God is doing in my life. Now my next objective is to find a place to live. =)

Trip to Buck Lake

Today we took a trip up to the top of a mountain to a go swimming in a small lake. It was kind of scary driving up the mountain since the roads were pretty much only big enough for one car, but besides that the view was awesome.

I'm ready to go swimming. =)

Moving across the country

Monday morning (August 11th) I began my adventure as I drove 2,500 miles across the country from East Lansing, MI to Portland, OR. Everything that I own was packed in my car so lets just say there wasn't much room. The drive took me 4 days and about 37 hours so I was glad to finally make it safely. I took pictures of every state sign and some random pictures of things I saw along the way.....
