I finally have a place to live! I will continuously post pictures as more decorations are put up and once I get more furniture but here is what it looks like thus far. =)

Portland Trail Blazers

The company I work for gave away over 100 tickets to the Portland Trail Blazers preseason game last week so everyone on our staff that works at the school (there are 9 of us) went to the game. It was the first NBA game I have ever been to. It was a lot of fun and I hope to be able to do it again some time. Here are a few pictures from the game.

New House!

Things finally worked out! I have a place to live!! It's a 2 story, 2 bed, 1 1/2 bath townhouse. It is pretty open and has a nice view from the upstairs window. I just moved in this past Tuesday so my boxes are everywhere. I am working on getting settled in and getting evreything organized. My room is pretty spacious and it has a nice walk in closet which is very nice. I definitely already fell half way down the stairs so I am still getting use to the place...haha. I like it and I am glad that I could finally unpack and have a place to put my coffee table other than the back of my car. Once I get settled in and a little bit more organized I will post several pictures. =)

October Already?....

Wow, I can't believe it is already October 1st! So crazy. Things are going pretty well. I went to the olympic gymnasts tour that came to Portland last weekend. Actually, I was expecting more gymnastics, but it was mostly just show. So it was okay, nothing that I would go see again I would say. Though I did some searching online and found a gym near by that will let me go swing bars whenever I want. The owner is really nice and said I could work out with the team whenever I wanted to and I think eventually I can coach too. I am very excited about this opportunity. I can't do all that much with my foot, though, it just feels good to get to do some giants and such every now and then. I am still looking into the living situation. I did find a townhouse that I am patiently waiting to hear back from. I should hear back sometime this week, I am crossing my fingers. I don't want to get too excited about it in case it falls through.

I am trying to get my Oregon license but here you have to re-take the written part of the driving test so I am studying for that. It is weird studying to get my license, haha, but it is something I have to get done. Work has been pretty intense lately with some of the kids being physically aggressive, but that is all a part of the job I suppose. I am getting use to it all, lots of patience indeed. I have taken a few random pictures here and there so I will post those soon. Well, I will keep posting updates on life out West. Have a great day!
